This is one of my favorite places to just bliss out! I am so entranced by the attention to detail in this garden. The walkways are lit up in the evenings. The sunset is Gorgeous and the Virginia Tech campus in the background just gives it a total romantic ambiance! I took the doggies there for a stroll on Sunday and the weather was Beautiful too! I would highly recommend this place to experience nature at its finest! To all the students, staff and Horticulturists that maintain these gardens 👏🏻 job well done! ♥️💯 💐 🌺
What a beautiful serene place. I only wish I had brought a book so I could sit on the bench and read, reflect, and enjoy the surroundings.
Hahn Garden is one of my favorite places!!! Beautiful flowers, trees, plants, and water features. Good peaceful place for walking and nature photos. You must go here!!! They have a lovely pavilion you can rent for events. Easiest time to park there is after 5pm weekdays and all weekend with no parking pass. Otherwise during a weekday you need to get a visitor parking pass from the university's visitor center and the parking is typically full on a weekday. No public restroom on site, fyi. That is the only thing missing at this beautiful garden!!!
I wanted to take some pictures here and it did not disappoint. It is several seating areas set up in the sun and some in the shade. There is a cute little pond, with a mini waterfall and bridge. Some of the areas have some rocks that are cute for pictures, too. There are some random sculptures in the gardens. One of them was women-like and a little creepy. I plan to return during a different season to see what is looks like at different times.
Fabulous stroll through a beautiful garden on a cool summer night. Was a little put off by the jankey bamboo gardens up front, but keep walking and you'll be embraced by all of the beautiful plantings. The lights at night made the path seem almost magical. Amazing variety of plants to view and beautiful water features. More chipmunks and rabbits than we could count. Obviously well-planned and even better tended. Wonderful!
Nice little garden. Smaller than I thought. The trail through the garden is paved. Use Parkmobile to pay for parking. It's easy. $1.50 for the first 30 mins. Zone #85101. Parkmobile will locate the zones in the area, and you just need to click on the zone number where are you parked at. That's how long I needed to walk the garden and still have time left. My girls walk fast. It's Fall, not as much to see. Fall Foliage is pretty. Probably even prettier in the Spring.
Spent the most Fantastic afternoon with our Grandchildren at the Hahn Botanical Garden on the Virginia Tech campus while visiting Blacksburg. They both were 100% happy & content the whole time we were there. We've decided that although the plants, trees and flowers are beautiful, our favorite thing about the garden was all the art exhibits. They're bright, colorful and so much fun to find around every corner. We highly recommend visiting the Hahn Botanical Garden its the perfect (free) outing for families with little ones!
Great place to learn about many different flowering plants and bring your kids. No free parking in weekdays but weekends are free to park. There are always something interesting and beautiful growing in any season. The Koi fish are an amazing addition. Great place to stroll and have an afternoon refresher.
